Cinema Center is presenting its second multi-day, multi-venue Hobnobben Film Festival in downtown Fort Wayne, beginning on June 15th.
One new event in this year's expanded line-up is "Film the Fort," where film makers will have 48 hours, during the actual festival, to write, edit, and shoot a film using only smartphones, affording festivalgoers the opportunity to see, up close and personal, what filmmaking is all about.
And the free, community block party, held on the Arts United Plaza, Friday, June 16th, has been upgraded to "Blocknobben" status, thanks to an Amplify Art! grant from Arts United.
WBOI's Julia Meek met with the organization's executive director, Jonah Crismore, and participating indie filmmaker, Ryne Hastings, of Gunslinger Motion Pictures, to focus in on the momentum Hobnobben is gaining, and how that affects its impact on the local film scene.
