Artlink Opens Virtual Reality Space To Virtually Everyone
Fort Wayne's Artlinkis opening the doors to its new "Open Arts Virtual Reality Space" this coming Tuesday.
It will house the gallery's brand new Google Tilt Brush app and VR equipment, making this digital method of creating in a uniquely immersive environment available to everyone.
Artlink's executive director, Matt McClure, feels that this addition, as well as recent parnering with local storytelling project, The Trap Door, are important ways to strengthen the long-established "link" the gallery makes with its community.
Here's a short video that highlights a diverse assortment of Northeast Indiana artists and their work:
For a clearer picture of the space, and its potential, WBOI's Julia Meek invited McClure into the studio to discuss Artlink's mission, what the public reaction has been to the VR project, and how it will virtually impact the Fort Wayne art scene.
Artlink's Open Arts Virtual Reality Space opens Tuesday, June 20th.
You can find more information, and gallery hours at the Artlink website.
