Fiesta Fort Wayne Delivers Blast Of Late Summer Celebration To Community

Courtesy/Fiesta Fort Wayne
Fernando Zapari is proud to be part of the community, and able to celebrate the best of its cultural diversity via Fiesta Fort Wayne.

Fiesta Fort Wayne, a nearly forty year old tradition, takes place this Saturday, in Headwaters Park.

As the largest Latino event in northeast Indiana, the all-day festivities attract festivalgoers from around the tri-state area, and feature traditional music, dance and food, as well as educational programs and presentations.

To get a real feel for the flavor of this joyful, end of August celebration, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with festival coordinator, Fernando Zapari, to discuss the event's roots and rhythms, and how it impacts the whole community.
