Indiana Continues To See Decline In College Bound High School Graduates

Indiana continues to see a decline in the percentage of high school graduates going to college.

According to the Commission for Higher Education's annual College Readiness Report, only 61 percent of Hoosier high school graduates enrolled in college in 2018, compared to 65 percent in 2015.

The report says the percentage of students who need remediation continues to drop, as well. Only 9 percent of incoming college freshmen needed remedial coursework in 2018, compared to 12 percent the year before.
