My Summer Vacation

Waynedale Elementary teacher Julie McCoy traveled to France over the summer to attend a a French attending.  Julie first visited France several years ago, when she took a gap year after high school to be a nanny in the country.  WBOI's Katy Anderson sat down with Julie to talk about her trip, French weddings, and why she's glad she took that gap year.    

Sara Pulse is a music teacher at Indian Village Elementary and traveled abroad in Europe over the summer. She traveled to Europe this summer and talked about why this trip was so meaningful.

 Towles Montessori teacher  Cheryl Pruitt spent her summer teaching in the Appleseed Writing Project, where she guided young people who are passionate about writing.  In this interview she talks about what this Appleseed Writing Project is and why she enjoys participating in it.

Jennifer Walker is a teacher at Snider High School and spent her time traveling in Japan with 30 students in the People to People Student Ambassador Program.  In her interview, she talks about some of the cultural differences and what it's like traveling with that many students.
