Thirty-six Allen County residents tested positive for COVID-19 as reported Thursday.

But the county’s numbers lost 33 as officials reconcile differences between state and local records. Those 33 test results were either duplicates or residents of other counties.

That brings Allen County’s total COVID-19 cases to 2,866, with 132 deaths as recorded by the Allen County Health Department. The Indiana State Department of Health records 2,867 positive cases in Allen County, and 133 deaths.

LaGrange County added seven new COVID-19 cases Thursday, Steuben County added three, and Whitley County added three.

Huntington County added four cases, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

There are 686 Hoosiers hospitalized around the state due to the illness, with 521 new cases reported Thursday and seven new deaths.

More than 2,500 Indiana residents have died from the disease.
