Positive Test Rate In Indiana Inches Upward, Locally Hospitalizations Up

Indiana’s moving positive test rate for COVID-19 is at 7.1 percent and the number of hospitalizations stands at 767, up since the beginning of the month.

In Indiana’s District 3, which includes all the counties in northeast Indiana plus Wabash and Miami counties, the moving positive test rate is under 1 percent, but the number of hospitalizations is up to 114. The lowest hospitalization rate since the pandemic began was 67 people on July 5.

 

Nearly 55,000 people in District 3 have been tested, and the total number of positive cases is 4,967.

 

Throughout District 3, there have been 195 total deaths, according to the State Department of Health.

 

Kosciusko County is not included in District 3. In Kosciusko County, there are 587 cases of the virus, and four people have died.

 

In Allen County, there have been 2,993 positive tests, and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 stands at 133.
