Nine new COVID-19 deaths in Allen County have been reported, having occurred over the course of the past few days but finally reconciled between state and county data.

That brings the total of Allen County residents lost to COVID-19 to 148, with 3,221 total positive cases. Seventeen new cases were reported on Wednesday by the Allen County Department of Health.

Around the state Wednesday, there were 14 new deaths reported and 763 new cases. During his weekly coronavirus update, Gov. Eric Holcomb issued a state-wide mask mandate in an effort to curb the continued growth of the virus in communities around the state.
