Long-time Regional Partnership President Steps Down

Longtime president and CEO of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership John Sampson has announced he will step down from the organization.

The Regional Partnership was founded in 2006 and serves as a collaborative body bringing stakeholders from all of northeast Indiana’s 11 counties together to focus on the best ways to build, market and sell the region to businesses and talent.

Sampson has been in his role as president and CEO since the very beginning of the partnership, playing a major role in the area’s “Road to One Million” plan. He has also overseen the partnership’s Vision 2030 plan, focusing on regional efforts to increase per capita income, population growth and educational attainment over the next ten years.

Sampson’s successor will be chosen through a national search which is already underway. That individual will be chosen by a committee of board members and “representation from valuable partners in the community,” according to a release from the Regional Partnership.
