Allen County Public Library Partnering With Super Shot to Give Flu Shots

Allen County Libraries

The Allen County Public Library is partnering with Super Shot to offer flu and COVID-19 immunizations to families.

For the next three Friday afternoons, certain library branches will have immunization options available for anyone for no charge. The first 50 people at each event will also receive a $10 Kroger gift card.

Connie Heflin is the executive director of Super Shot. She says the idea to partner with the library came from the executive director of the ACPL.

“The library is such a convenient and trusted location, that it seems like the perfect place to provide immunizations.”

Those coming in for an immunization will have to show their ID and health insurance, if they have insurance. Anyone without insurance can still receive any of the immunization options, which include the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and both injectable and nasal spray flu vaccines.

The events will be hosted from 2 PM to 5 PM on Friday, September 28, at the ACPL Main Branch, 2 PM to 5 PM on Friday, October 8, at the Pontiac Branch and 2 PM to 5 PM on Friday, October 15, at the Shawnee Branch.
