The fundraising efforts came after funding for the program was removed from the Indiana state budget.

The goal of the cards is to get access to library resources into as many students' hands as possible, beginning with Towles Intermediate School.

The Allen County Public Library partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in October to bring the program to residents.

The new studio is open to the public and offers a variety of tools for creating and innovation.

Phase 1 was approved by the Allen County Council late last year.
