Work on the massive, nearly $68 million mixed-use development at Headwaters Park is scheduled to begin in January.

“The Lofts at Headwaters Park” will be located at the site bound by Duck, Clinton, Superior and Barr streets, right next to the park on the same chunk of land as Club Soda. The project will begin by clearing the site so construction can start by next summer.

“The Lofts” will feature 217 apartments, 15 townhomes, 12,000 square feet of commercial space and a parking garage with more than 650 spaces.

The project is located very close to The Riverfront at Promenade Park, a similar, $87 million mixed-use project on the corner of Harrison and Superior that was “topped off” by construction crews in October. Both are being handled by Indianapolis-based developer Barrett & Stokely.

A release from the City of Fort Wayne notes that Club Soda will remain open during construction and “can be easily and safely accessed through the existing entrance facing north towards Headwaters Park.” The city also emphasizes that “convenient” parking will be provided to Club Soda patrons, and that they will coordinate with festival organizers to ensure enough parking options during the summer months.
