Fort Wayne United searching for new executive director

Fort Wayne United is looking for a new executive director, following the departure of Iric Headley after about eight years in the position.

Headley has accepted a leadership position with Surack Enterprises, but he isn’t leaving the organization entirely. He now holds the position of Steering Committee Co-Chair.

Headley said he has had a tremendous opportunity serving in the role and now it’s time to give someone else that opportunity.

“It’s truly about how do we give other individuals, other black males in this community, the opportunity to strive and be successful as much as I have?" Headley said.

Program Manager Gregg Smith-Causey will serve as interim director until the position is filled. A national search will be conducted to find a new director, with Headley included in that hiring committee.

Headley said the hiring committee is looking for someone passionate about helping the Black male population and enhancing diversity and inclusion in Fort Wayne.
