Kyle Shepherds' VW of choice is a limited edition R32.

Volkswagen has been going strong since 1937, maintaining a global presence on the road, as well as in the hearts of auto enthusiasts young and old.

Small Wonder? Well...yes.

When WBOI's Julia Meek learned about the hobbyist-driven Old Fort VW Club, she decided to meet with their president, Kyle Shepherd to discuss the car's iconic appeal right here in Fort Wayne.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
