Beginning this Friday, Fort Wayne Cinema Center is serving up a tasty assortment of holiday film fare, and this year's offbeat menu features something for everyone.
"Kick Christm@$$ Weekend" features later screenings of two iconic pop culture favorites, "Die Hard," and "Batman Returns," which director Jonah Crismore considers "A great chance to revisit these vintage box office hits on the big screen, and do something goofy for the holiday season."
To balance the genres, a fully restored version of Frank Capra's "Its a Wonderful Life" will be shown in the days just before Christmas, with a special "Its a Wonderful Life Celebration" on Friday, December 23rd, before the evening screening.
To explore the reasons for this "naughty and nice" combination, WBOI's Julia Meek met with executive director, Jonah Crismore, to discuss what these over-the-top action films and perennial Christmas classic could have in common this time of year.
