Addison has embraced each live performance with her unique style and a commanding presence, and feels that the Joni Mitchell tune she received for the people's choice episode was a special honor, as it is such an important, and beloved piece.

Since NBC's "The Voice" began its live, weekly eliminations in November, many Fort Wayne residents have been on the edge of their seats as 16 year old singer songwriter, Addison Agen, continues to advance in the competition.

Though the reality of the competition gets more and more serious, Agen feels that the love between all of the contestants remains constant, because they're all connected through music, their combined passion.

Addison's winning strategy is simply to make great, great music so she won't have to go home, and give 200% to each performance.

With just two Monday nights left for the battle to be waged, WBOI's Julia Meek decided to contact Addison by phone, out in Los Angeles, to learn firsthand how things are going for this dedicated and good natured, young musical warrior.

You can learn about the Come 2 Go, and other weekly "Addison Watch" events, and how to cast your votes for Addison on the Addison Agen Music Facebook page.

A Fort Wayne native, Julia is a radio host, graphic artist, and community volunteer, who has contributed to NIPR both on- and off-air for forty years. Besides being WBOI's arts & culture reporter, she currently co-produces and hosts Folktales and Meet the Music.
