Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate the Class of 2021 with proms and traditional graduation ceremonies this spring.

All five of the FWCS high schools will hold prom on May 15, with the events being limited to seniors and their guests. Attendees will be spread out through the buildings to minimize crowds and masks will still be required.

Last year, as the country grappled with the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools here and around the country switched away from in-person graduation ceremonies and cancelled proms.

This year’s commencement ceremonies will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on their previously scheduled dates. The amount of tickets students will receive will depend on community spread of COVID-19 at that time and masks and social distancing will also be required.

FWCS graduation schedules are:

  • South Side High School, Thursday, June 3, 7 p.m.
  • Wayne High School, Friday, June 4, 7 p.m.
  • North Side High School, Saturday, June 5, 10 a.m.
  • Northrop High School, Saturday, June 5, 1:30 p.m.
  • Snider High School, Saturday, June 5, 5 p.m.
