FWCS to hold info session on planned Snider stadium

Fort Wayne Community Schools is inviting community members to an information meeting about the stadium project at Snider High School in the new year.

The meeting will include a detailed presentation of construction plans, architectural renderings and traffic flow and parking details. It will also set aside time for a Q and A session.

The $30 million stadium was approved by the school board in June as part of a larger $55 million District-Wide Equipment and Facility Improvement Project.

The school has not had its own stadium for almost 60 years and has been using Northrop’s Spuller Stadium as its home stadium. According to head football coach Kurt Tippmann, Snider is the only public school in the state without its own stadium.

The goal is for the stadium to be ready for football season in fall 2026.

The information meeting will be at 6 p.m. on January 8 at Snider High School.
