A company that provides insurance to churches and other ministries has announced it will expand its headquarters on its 30-acre campus in Fort Wayne.
Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company will invest $15 million to build a 55,000 square foot facility, which it expects to be operational by early 2014.
The company says the move could create up to 102 new jobs in the next four years.
"Fort Wayne's stable economic environment provides an excellent foundation to support Brotherhood Mutual's growth,” Brotherhood Mutual President Mark Robison said in a statement. “This company has its roots in this community, and as we approach our 100th anniversary, we're looking forward to many more years of serving church customers across the country."
Brotherhood was founded in 1917 in Grabill, Ind., and serves more than 40,000 churches in the U.S.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered the company $875,000 in conditional tax credits and $50,000 more in training grants.
The City of Fort Wayne also approved a property tax abatement to incentivize the expansion.
