How important are manufacturers to communities? With the 2018 midterms in the books, what's next for the General Assembly? We'll tackle those questions and more in this week's episode of WBOI Presents, The November News Roundup.

We’ll begin our show looking at how the midterm elections impacted the General Assembly, and what’s likely to come from the 2019 session. WBOI's Ben Clemmer spoke with Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith from Indianapolis.

WBOI's Rebecca Green sat join with Morning Edition Host Zach Bernard to discuss the latest from city and county government, and whether or not residents can expect rebates for late and missed trash pickups.

General Motors recently announced plant closures and layoffs around North America. Though no plants closed in northeast Indiana, now is a good time to look at how important auto manufacturers are to the communities that keep them running. John Kessler, an economist from Purdue Fort Wayne, spoke about this topic with WBOI's Rebecca Green.
