Fort Wayne Air Show Drew Large Crowds

Fort Wayne Air Show officials estimate a crowd of more than 50,000 people throughout the three-day weekend event.

Festivities began with a commemoration of the 75th D-Day anniversary at Parkview Field.

The air show featured the United States Air Force Thunderbirds in their F-16s, an F-100 Super Sabre, sky writers, and a B-17 Flying Fortress, as well as other planes and acts.

The 122nd Fighter Wing, which flies the A-10 Thunderbolt II out of Fort Wayne’s Indiana Air National Guard Base, performed as well.
