A global digital services company commemorated a milestone in the construction of its Indiana training hub Friday. Infosys leaders say its hired hundreds of Hoosiers, and plans to hire thousands more in the upcoming years.
Infosys plans to open the doors to its U.S. Education Center in Indianapolis next fall.
Company President Ravi Kumar says the 55-acre campus will prepare workers for jobs in the company at one of six locations across the country.
“It’s not just to train for this hub, for to train all the employees in the United States, as well as the 10,000 we hired in the last two years,” says Kumar.
Speaking at the ceremony, Gov. Eric Holcomb applauded Kumar and the company for investing not only in the state but the future American workforce.
“As we see a lot of the blue-collar jobs, turn into the white-collar jobs, or blue to new collar jobs,” says Holcomb. “Companies like Infosys are playing a critical role in that transition.”
Infosys first established roots in the U.S. in 2018, opening its flagship technology and innovation hub in Indianapolis.
