Coronavirus Numbers Up, Deaths Slow

Screenshot of Indiana Department of Health

The Indiana Department of Health’s COVID-19 map now shows testing totals by county, in addition to the number of positive tests and fatalities caused by the coronavirus.

It also allows users to see how many positive tests occurred per 10,000 residents of each county. That data shows the severity of the outbreaks in each of Indiana’s 92 counties.

In Noble County, there are 26 cases per 10,000 residents, with 124 COVID-19 diagnoses. The county recorded 457 individuals tested for the disease.

Three hundred people have been tested in Steuben County, where an outbreak was reported at a poultry processing plant. Sixty-one residents have been diagnosed as of Thursday, and one person has died.

As of Thursday, Allen County has 750 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 59 deaths. There have been 4,676 people tested, with an infection rate of 19.6 per 10,000 people, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

Wabash County has 20 positive cases per 10,000 residents, with a total 64 confirmed cases.
