Foellinger Theatre Postpones Opening Until August 1

Fort Wayne Parks

Fort Wayne’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced the postponement of the Foellinger Theatre’s 2020 season opening until August 1, a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

New show dates for the June and July shows are currently being discussed with the performers; at least two bands -- the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Rumours and Kenny Cetera’s Chicago Experience -- have already been rescheduled for September 18 and August 29, respectively.

Customers with tickets to postponed shows are asked to carry those over to the newly scheduled dates. If that isn’t possible, full refunds will be available at the point of purchase once the new date for a concert is announced.

Parks and Recreation director Steve McDaniel cited health and safety of theatre customers was the primary driver in the decision to postpone shows.

More rescheduled performances are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, and will be announced at the Foellinger Theatre website and Facebook page.
