Allen County has passed 500 COVID-19 deaths.
There were 15 new deaths reported by the Allen County Health Department on Tuesday, along with 191 new positive cases of the illness.
The average age of those who have died due to COVID-19 in Allen County is 78. The youngest victim was 4, and the oldest 107, according to health department data.
Thirty-two percent of Allen County’s deaths have been between the ages of 80 to 89.
Throughout northeast Indiana, there were six more deaths reported outside of Allen County, including three in Kosciusko County, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
ICU capacity in northeast Indiana is down to 16.5 percent, with more than 60 percent of the area’s critical care beds filled with non-COVID patients.
Statewide, ICU capacity is at 24.4 percent, with 27 percent of the beds filled with COVID patients. There are 2,907 Hoosiers hospitalized with the illness, according to state data.

- Adams County: 23 new cases for 2,713 total. No new deaths for 34 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.9%.
- Allen County: 191 new cases for 29,111 total. 15 new deaths for 508 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.4%.
- DeKalb County: 22 new cases for 3,148 total. No new deaths for 68 total. 7-day positivity rate at 17.6%.
- Huntington County: 24 new cases for 2,547 total. One new death for 50 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10.7%
- Kosciusko County: 25 new cases at 7,065 total. Three new deaths for 73 total. 7-day positivity rate at 16.8%.
- LaGrange County: Seven new cases for 2,081 total. No new deaths for 57 total. 7-day positivity rate at 20.6%.
- Noble County: 21 new cases for 4,210 total. One new death for 56 total. 7-day positivity rate at 16.8%.
- Steuben County: Eight new cases for 2,750 total. No new death for 28 total. 7-day positivity rate at 23.6%.
- Wabash County: Eight new cases for 2,673 total. No new deaths for 44 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.5%.
- Wells County: 26 new cases for 2,026 total. No new deaths for 45 total. 7-day positivity rate at 11.9%.
- Whitley County: 14 new cases for 2,580 total. One new death for 22 total. 7-day positivity rate at 21.7%.
