One COVID-19 death was reported in northeast Indiana on Monday from Sunday, recorded in Steuben County.
Area hospitalizations were down to 120, and ICU capacity had increased to 28.8 percent, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Whitley County’s positivity rate was up again, at 17 percent, and it remains the only northeast Indiana county identified as “red” by the state for COVID-19 spread.
A message left with the Whitley County Health Department seeking comment on the continued rise in positivity rates was unreturned Monday.
Northeast Indiana’s overall positivity rate for the past seven days was down to 8.7 percent, the lowest total since late October.
Those between the ages of 50 to 59 make up 16 percent of those infected with the illness. Those between the ages of 20 to 29 are a close second, at 15.9 percent.

- Allen County: 84 new cases for 33,848 total. No new deaths for 565 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.4%.
- DeKalb County: 6 new cases for 3,596 total. No new deaths for 73 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.3%.
- Huntington County: 14 new cases for 3,076 total. No new deaths for 68 total. 7-day positivity rate at 7.4%.
- Kosciusko County: 12 new cases for 8,215 total. No new deaths for 85 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.5%.
- LaGrange County: 5 new cases for 2,350 total. No new deaths for 63 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.3%.
- Noble County: 18 new cases for 4,849 total. No new deaths for 59 total. 7-day positivity rate at 7.6%.
- Steuben County: 12 new cases for 3,200 total. 1 new death for 47 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.4%.
- Wabash County: 5 new cases for 3,31 total. No new deaths for 51 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.4%.
- Wells County: 10 new cases for 2,408 total. No new deaths for 53 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.4%.
- Whitley County: 10 new cases for 3,229 total. No new deaths for 26 total. 7-day positivity rate at 17.1%.
