The winter storm blanketing much of the state in snow Monday and Tuesday could potentially delay vaccinations for Hoosiers who have shots scheduled this week.

The Indiana Department of Health is working with local vaccination sites to reschedule if needed, and those with potentially impacted appointments will be notified by email or text message.

So far, Indiana has fully-vaccinated 336,827 Hoosiers, with nearly 817,000 having received their first dose, according to the state department of health.

In northeast Indiana, the 7-day positivity rate continues to decline, with the rate at 7 percent on Monday. The highest rolling 7-day positivity rate in the area was recorded in mid-November, at over 17 percent.

Eighty-five new cases were reported around the region from Sunday into Monday, and one new death.

LaGrange County’s 7-day positivity rate is at 2.3 percent, the best in the area for indication of community spread.

Allen County’s is down to 7.5. Steuben County has the highest rate at 11.8 percent.
