More than 30 percent of Steuben County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Most of northeast Indiana is nearing the 25 percent mark for vaccination against the illness, even as area positivity rates inch up a little bit.
One new northeast Indiana death was reported on Thursday, in Noble County. There were 157 new cases of COVID-19 reported throughout the area.
The area’s 7-day positivity rate declined by another tenth of a percentage point on Thursday, the second day of decline.
Statewide, the rate went up a tenth of a percentage point.
Huntington County has the best 7-day positivity rate, at 1.8 percent. Steuben County is the worst at 8.4 percent.
There are 66 area residents hospitalized with the illness.
