The Allen County Public Library (ACPL) board of trustees will meet in a special session on Wednesday to formally receive recommendations on upgrades to library facilities.
The meeting is open to the public and available to be livestreamed or watched at a later time on the library’s YouTube channel.
Library spokeswoman Stephanny Smith said they know how passionate people are about their libraries and they expect to hear more and more feedback as the process continues.
”We anticipate that people will have a lot more input once we start talking about their favorite branch, their neighborhood location,” she said.
During the meeting, representatives from Bostwick Design Partnership will share options for facility upgrades and members of the public will be able to ask questions and offer feedback.
In 2021, the ACPL began reaching out to the community to understand what library facilities needed to better fulfill community needs. The final version of the Facilities Master Plan will be submitted to the board in April.
