A recount has been ordered in the Southwest Allen County school board election.
Incumbent At-Large candidate Doug Copley filed for the recount after losing the election by less than 10 votes.
Copley has served on the school board for a year. He was appointed to the board last year following Tom Rhoades retirement.
Copley ran on several issues, including mask choice, traditional U.S. history and parent-input.
Copley’s opponent, Stephanie Veit, was endorsed by the Southwest Allen County Teachers Association.
The recount is scheduled for 8:30 AM in room 740 of the Rousseau Center downtown.
