Southwest Allen County Schools saw a recount today for one of two at-Large seats up for election in November.
The public recount was held Friday morning in the Rousseau Center, following approval by an Allen County Superior Court judge.
Incumbent candidate Doug Copley filed for the recount after losing his seat to opponent Stephanie Veit by nine votes.
Following the recount, Veit’s lead increased to 27 votes, with a total of 6,616. Copley received 6,589 votes.
Kim Moppert received 7,774 votes in the recount, a decrease of about 60 votes, but still firmly held onto her spot as incoming school board member-at-large.
