Indiana officials have formally requested major disaster relief from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.
Gov. Mike Braun and former Indiana Utility Regulatory Commissioner Andy Zay signed a $625,000 settlement in the lawsuit Zay filed over his firing, according to the agreement released by the governor's office Saturday.
People across the state still need help to navigate power outages, shelter, flood damage, and fallen trees, many of them called social service hotline 211 to get help.
