The state’s mask mandate and other COVID-19 precautions might end Tuesday, but there will be a lot of places in northeast Indiana where you will still need to keep your nose and mouth covered.

The Allen County Public Library system will still require masks, as will Parkview and Lutheran health networks, according to press releases issued in recent days.

The Allen County courts, both Circuit and Superior systems, will continue to require masks on anyone who is over the age of 2 visiting the various buildings.

Noble County saw a huge spike in cases reported on Monday, according to the state department of health.

It was the second day with double digit increases in COVID cases in the past week.

Only Noble, LaGrange and Adams counties remain in the state’s safest category for community spread of the illness.

Almost every northeast Indiana county has positivity rates at or near 5 percent for the past seven days.

But eight northeast Indiana counties are now nearing or over 20 percent of their population fully vaccinated.
