Indiana averaged over 1,130 new COVID-19 cases a day from Friday into Sunday, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
Nearly 150 new cases were reported in Allen County over those days. No new deaths were reported, according to the Allen County Department of Health.
DeKalb County reported 29 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, as well as one additional death.
Statewide, the positivity rate is nearing 5 percent, at 4.8 percent. The World Health Organization deems 5 percent as “too high” and the rate should be held under that for two weeks before reopening is considered.
Indiana moved to Stage 5 of the Roadmap to Reopening on Sept. 26, lifting some restrictions on many businesses throughout the state. The mask mandate remains in effect until Oct. 15.
Adams County’s positivity rate is at 2.5 percent, but recent activity shows a jump. Nine new cases were reported on Monday. Eleven new cases were reported late last week, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.
