Northeast Indiana’s 7-day positivity rate for COVID-19 inched up a tenth of a percent from Thursday to Friday. It now stands at 6.3 percent.
Two additional deaths were reported in the area, and every one of the area’s 11 counties reported new cases of the illness.
Hospitalizations in the northeast corner of the state also bumped up a little, to 96. ICU capacity is at 26.9 percent.
The highest positivity rate in northeast Indiana remains in Whitley County, back up to 10.7 percent from 10.3 percent on Thursday.
Wabash County has the lowest with 2.8 percent. Allen County’s is at 6.5 percent.
Statewide, the 7-day positivity rate is at 4.4 percent, down a tenth of a percent from Thursday, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Hospitalizations statewide are down to 948, the lowest number since early October.
Northeast Indiana totals:
- Adams County: 8 new cases for 3,186 total. No new deaths for 49 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.8%.
- Allen County: 59 new cases for 35,383 total. No new deaths for 625 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.5%.
- DeKalb County: 15 new cases for 3,802 total. No new deaths for 77 total. 7-day positivity rate at 9.8%.
- Huntington County: 17 new cases for 3,331 total. No new deaths for 76 total. 7-day positivity rate at 7%.
- Kosciusko County: 9 new cases for 8,472 total. No new deaths for 107 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.4%.
- LaGrange County: 5 new cases for 2,396 total. No new deaths for 70 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.9%.
- Noble County: 5 new cases for 5,033 total. No new deaths for 75 total. 7-day positivity rate at 5%.
- Steuben County: 11 new cases for 3,339 total. No new deaths for 55 total. 7-day positivity rate at 9.5%.
- Wabash County: 8 new cases for 3,271 total. 1 new death for 75 total. 7-day positivity rate at 2.8%.
- Wells County: 13 new cases for 2,527 total. 1 new death for 74 total. 7-day positivity rate at 5.8%.
- Whitley County: 9 new cases for 3,429 total. No new deaths for 35 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10.7%.
