As COVID-19 vaccinations are made available to Hoosiers ages 12 to 17, positivity rates continue to slip back down.

No deaths were reported in northeast Indiana on Thursday, and only five statewide, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

There were 96 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the region Thursday, with 46 of those in Allen County.

LaGrange County’s vaccination rate continues to lag behind the rest of the region, and climbs the slowest among the area’s 11 counties. It stands at 21.9 percent, up .1 of a percent from day to day.

Allen County’s vaccination rate is now over 40 percent, according to the state’s vaccination dashboard.

There are now more than 2.25 million Hoosiers fully vaccinated against the virus.

Adams, Wabash, Wells and Kosciusko counties are all in the state’s safest category for COVID-19.
