Only LaGrange, Kosciusko and Noble counties have fewer than 30 percent of their populations fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, four months after the state rolled out its vaccination program.

LaGrange County remains relatively hot for community spread as well, with a 7-day positivity rate of more than 14 percent, and a place in the state’s second-worst category on its advisory dashboard.

The northeast Indiana 7-day positivity rate went up to six percent on Thursday, and there were 161 new cases reported, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

Only Wells County reported no new cases on Thursday.

No new deaths were reported in the area on Thursday, and there are 74 individuals in the region hospitalized with the illness.

Statewide, the 7-day positivity rate is up to 5 percent, with 1,261 new cases reported. There are 1,019 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

So far, 2 million people have been vaccinated against the virus in Indiana.
