Northeast Indiana has 9 percent of its ICU capacity remaining due to the continued surge of COVID-19.
Nearly 29 percent of the area’s ICUs are full of COVID patients.
The 7-day positivity rate in northeast Indiana is up to 11.8 percent, and there were 693 new cases reported in the area by the Indiana Department of Health.
Four new deaths were reported in northeast Indiana as well, including two in Allen County and one each in Noble and Kosciusko counties.
There are 270 area residents hospitalized due to COVID, among the 2,294 hospitalized statewide.
Indiana saw 6,742 residents added Tuesday to the fully-vaccinated list. Fifty-three percent of the state’s eligible population is fully vaccinated.
LaGrange County’s vaccination rate is stubbornly low, stuck at 24.8 percent for the third straight day.

- Adams County: 24 new cases for 4,106 total. No new deaths for 63 total. 7-day positivity rate at 7%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 36.7%.
- Allen County: 328 new cases for 40,348 total. 2 new deaths for 723 total. 7-day positivity rate at 11.7%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 54.4%.
- DeKalb County: 36 new cases for 5,182 total. No new deaths for 89 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.7%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 41.6%.
- Huntington County: 52 new cases for 5,517 total. No new deaths for 87 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.3%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 46%.
- Kosciusko County: 73 new cases for 10,522 total. 1 new death for 129 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.4%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 41.3%.
- LaGrange County: 1 new case for 2,913 total. No new deaths for 73 total. 7-day positivity rate at 9.3%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 24.8%.
- Noble County: 47 new cases for 6,763 total. 1 new death for 98 total. 7-day positivity rate at 11.8% Eligible population fully vaccinated 40.2%.
- Steuben County: 17 new cases for 4,558 total. No new deaths for 64 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 45.7%.
- Wabash County: 35 new cases for 4,367 total. No new deaths for 86 total. 7-day positivity rate at 13.4%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 40.7%.
- Wells County: 33 new cases for 3,477 total. No new deaths for 82 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 42.5%.
- Whitley County: 45 new cases for 4,785 total. No new deaths for 48 total. 7-day positivity rate at 15.3%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 44.9%.
