Black History Month

The 'Say Their Names' exhibits encourages students to choose and research an event or person in Black history and create art about them.

The class spent the month researching their assigned historical figures before presenting in front of their classmates.

Students took inspiration from the lives of those affected by racist violence and police brutality.

In the letter sent to parents earlier this month, Sprunica Elementary School counselor Benjamin White detailed his plan to spend the next two weeks going to different classes “teaching lessons related to equity, caring, and understanding differences” in honor of Black History Month and Valentine’s Day.
