Folk-Pop Band Storyman Takes Fort Wayne with New Name, Bigger Sound

Kevin May and Mick Lynch hit the Dublin music scene as Guggenheim Grotto back in 2003, quickly building a following with their unique style of folk-influenced indie pop.

In 2006, they brought their act stateside for the first of many successful national tours.

They now reside in Brooklyn, with a new record label, a new touring schedule, and a new name: Storyman.

With a new tour, of course, comes another stop in Fort Wayne, which May says is "a highlight on any tour they do." The band's Fort Wayne show starts Friday night at C2G Music Hall.

Earlier this week, WBOI's Julia Meek spoke with May by phone to learn what Storyman is bringing to the stage.

Event Information:

Storyman (formerly Guggenheim Grotto)
