Makenna Click is proud of her yummi creations, which include inventive weekly specials.

The Yummi Bunni is the newest ice cream emporium to hit Fort Wayne, with a signature ice cream sandwich, or bun, that owner, Makenna Click, promises will be as creamy and delicious as it is beautiful. It must also be photo-worthy for social media, she adds.

Three of the many, many possible yummi bun combinations.

Since it opened its doors a little less than a year ago, on Main Street, just down the block from Coney Island, more than 110 thousand Yummi Buns have been sold.

The ingredients, gathered from local and regional sources, are chosen for their superior taste and texture, and must be available in quantities to match the store's demand.

Other tasty items on the shop's small but creative menu include ice cream cups, craft soda floats, and nitro cold brew coffee drinks.

For the inside scoop on The Yummi Bunni's sweet success, WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with Click to discuss her passion for the craft, and her secret for serving up that "perfect bite."

The Yummi Bunni is located at 123 West Main Street, in Fort Wayne. You can find more information, and store hours at its Facebook page.
