Winter Weather Arrives In Northeast Indiana, Early

Northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio remain under a winter weather advisory until midnight as a storm that's brought snow about to give way to record-setting cold.

National Weather Service meteorologist Kevin Birk says that the arctic air mass will make the region feel a lot more like the middle of January than the middle of November. He says that by the time things warm up a bit on Wednesday, many communities could have new cold temperature records.

Temperatures for northeast Indiana are expected to drop as low as 17 degrees Monday night, and not climb above 25 on Tuesday. They won’t climb above freezing until Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is expected to continue throughout the night, with accumulation expected of about 2 to 4 inches.
