Allen County Coronavirus Cases Still Increasing

Fifty more Allen County residents tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 281 as of Friday afternoon.

Three more people have died from the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The climb in local numbers is consistent with the rise in the state count, which was 642 new cases Friday, bringing the total to 10,154 Hoosiers infected, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

Parkview Health has added a free COVID-19 symptom checker to its website. If you believe you have been exposed to the virus, you can use the symptom checker and be directed to appropriate resources.

Parkview officials caution that the symptom checker does not replace necessary medical care.

Noble County reports an additional two cases, totalling 29. Whitley County’s case numbers dropped by one to 14, likely due to a false positive. Steuben County is up to 16, as is LaGrange County.

The northeast Indiana coronavirus totals are:

  • Adams: 6 positive cases and 1 death
  • Allen: 281 positive cases and 21 deaths
  • DeKalb: 11 positive cases and 1 deaths
