Adams County saw a huge spike in COVID-19 cases and the Adams County Health Department is warning those who may have attended a concert at a local bar.
According to the Indiana State Department of Health, there were eight new cases reported from Tuesday, and another seven cases reported from Monday.
On Wednesday, the Adams County Health Department posted on the agency’s Facebook page that a concert on July 30 at the Wet Spot caused at least 13 new coronavirus cases.
Officials are asking those who attended the event, or who have been in close contact with those who had attended, self-quarantine and get tested.
The county now has 117 total cases and two deaths. The seven-day positivity rate jumped to 11.6 percent.
Elsewhere in northeast Indiana, Allen County saw 44 new cases reported Wednesday, and the number of deaths is now 162.
DeKalb County has reported 13 new cases over the past two days, bringing their total to 241. Amid those 13 new cases include a 9-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 26-year-old, according to the DeKalb County Health Department.
