Five More COVID-19 Deaths In Allen County, Counts Up In Northeast Indiana

Five new COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Allen County Wednesday, bringing the total to 206.

Fifty-one more individuals have tested positive for the illness, bringing that total to 6,427, according to the Allen County Department of Health.

 

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo announced Wednesday that the well-known and beloved fall trick-or-treat event, Wild Zoo Halloween, would be cancelled due to the pandemic.

 

The DeKalb County Health Department reported a dozen new cases, all but two are over the age of 40.

 

Statewide, the positivity rate was up Wednesday, hitting over 8 percent, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

 

COVID-19 case numbers were up in all northeast Indiana counties:

 

  • Adams County-six new cases, total of 283
  • Allen County--51 new cases, total of 6,427
  • DeKalb County--12 new cases, total of 519
  • Huntington County--five new cases, total of 254
  • Kosciusko County--31 new cases, total of 1,301
  • LaGrange County--four new cases, total of 651
  • Noble County--six new cases, total of 935
  • Steuben County--two new cases, total of 399
  • Wabash County--one new case, total of 275
  • Wells County--four new cases, total of 273
  • Whitley County--five new cases, total of 295
