Only 11 percent of ICU beds in northeast Indiana and around the state are filled with those who are battling COVID-19.

That number has continued to go down in recent days as Indiana’s COVID-19 statistics continue to improve.

The area’s 7-day positivity rate is at 7.7 percent, and the state’s is at 6.1 percent, according to the Indiana Department of Health.

The number of deaths continues to decline as well.

There are 106 northeast Indiana residents hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Only Steuben and Whitley counties’ 7-day positivity rate are above 10 percent, according to the state department of health.
