There are three northeast Indiana counties with 7-day COVID-19 positivity rates over 5 percent as of Monday.
Only Kosciusko, Noble and Wabash counties remained in the blue for community spread on Monday. The remaining northeast Indiana counties are in the yellow, the state’s second-best rating for COVID-19 safety.
Allen County reported 27 new positive COVID-19 cases on Monday. No new deaths were reported in the area, and only one death statewide.
In northeast Indiana, individuals between the ages of 20 to 29, 40 to 49 and 50 to 59 all make up 15.9 percent of the COVID-19 cases in the area.
There are 42 residents of northeast Indiana hospitalized, and only 4.1 percent of the area’s intensive care beds are occupied by COVID patients.
Statewide, those between the ages of 20 to 29 make up 18.2 percent of those infected with COVID-19. There are 592 Hoosiers hospitalized with the illness.

- Allen County: 27 new cases for 37,201 total. No new deaths for 656 total. 7-day positivity rate at 6.3%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 12.7%.
- DeKalb County: 8 new cases for 3,969 total. No new deaths for 77 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.8%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 12.6%.
- Huntington County: 4 new cases for 3,618 total. No new deaths for 78 total. 7-day positivity rate at 4.5%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 16.5%.
- Kosciusko County: 3 new cases for 8,713 total. No new deaths for 112 total. 7-day positivity rate at 2.6%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 10.3%.
- LaGrange County: 1 new cases for 2,449 total. No new deaths for 70 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.4%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 7.8%
- Noble County: 2 new cases for 5,198 total. No new deaths for 79 total. 7-day positivity rate at 2.6%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 11.6%.
- Steuben County: 1 new case for 3,459 total. No new deaths for 57 total. 7-day positivity rate at 5.7%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 18.5%.
- Wabash County: 2 new cases for 3,379 total. No new deaths for 77 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.9%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 15.8%.
- Wells County: 4 new cases for 2,659 total. No new deaths for 79 total. 7-day positivity rate at 5.4%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 14.2%.
- Whitley County: 3 new cases for 3,593 total. No new deaths for 40 total. 7-day positivity rate at 7.9%. County percentage for full vaccination is at 14.9%.
