Two additional COVID-19 deaths were added to Allen County’s total on Tuesday, bringing the number of those lost to the virus to 658.
No additional deaths were reported in the area, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
Hospitalizations increased slightly in recent days, but remain lower on average than at any other point in the pandemic.
Vaccination percentages continue to inch upward throughout the state, and the region.
Steuben County now has nearly 19 percent of its population fully vaccinated against COVID-19. LaGrange County is the lowest, at 7.9 percent.
Whitley and Steuben counties have 7-day positivity rates above 7 percent.
Only Noble, Kosciusko and Wabash counties remain in the state’s best category for community spread of COVID-19.
All other counties in the region are in the “yellow”, the state’s second-best category for community spread.

- Kosciusko County: 12 new cases for 8,725 total. No new deaths for 112 total. 7-day positivity rate at 2.4%. County full-vaccination total at 10.5%.
- LaGrange County: No new cases for 2,449 total. No new deaths for 70 total. 7-day positivity rate at 3.3%. County full-vaccination total at 7.9%.
- Noble County: 3 new cases for 5,201 total. No new deaths for 79 total. 7-day positivity rate at 2.7%. County full-vaccination total at 12.%.
