There were 18 newly-reported COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday throughout northeast Indiana, including nine in Allen County.
Those 18 were among the 59 reported statewide, according to the Indiana Department of Health.
That number includes deaths from over the past weekend, and into October, according to the state’s dashboard.
An additional 282 new cases were reported in the area, and the 7-day positivity rate stands at 9.3 percent.
However, the number of tests administered daily continues to fall.
Indiana has only 52.1 percent of its eligible population fully-vaccinated, which is lower than all of its neighbors.
In northeast Indiana, LaGrange County has vaccinated less than 23 percent of its population ages 5 and over. Allen County remains the highest at 52.1 percent.
Northeast Indiana totals:
- Adams County: 11 new cases for 5,025 total. No new deaths reported for 79 total. 7-day positivity at 7%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 34.3%.
- Allen County: 121 new cases for 60,303 total. 9 new deaths reported for 836 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.7%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 52.1%.
- DeKalb County: 21 new cases for 6,684 total. No new deaths reported for 102 total. 7-day positivity rate at 15.8%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 40.8%.
- Huntington County: 12 new cases for 6,709 total. No new deaths for 101 total. 7-day positivity rate at 9.4%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 45%.
- Kosciusko County: 19 new cases for 12,902 total. 2 new deaths for 152 total. 7-day positivity rate at 11.8%. Eligible population fully vaccinated at 40.3%.
- LaGrange County: 18 new cases for 3,825 total. No new deaths for 87 total. 7-day positivity rate at 20.8%. Eligible population fully vaccinated at 22.8%.
- Noble County: 18 new cases for 8,357 total. 2 new deaths for 112 total. 7-day positivity rate at 10.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 39.2%.
- Steuben County: 21 new cases for 5,921 total. 1 new death for 79 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.1%. Eligible population fully vaccinated 44.6%.
- Wabash County: 15 new cases for 5,555 total. 1 new death for 106 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8.9%. Eligible population fully vaccinated at 40.1%.
- Wells County: 10 new cases for 4,374 total. 1 new death for 91 total. 7-day positivity rate at 8%. Eligible population fully vaccinated at 41%.
- Whitley County: 16 new cases for 5,894 total. 2 new deaths for 59 total. 7-day positivity rate 10.4% Eligible population fully vaccinated at 43.9%
