Northeast Indiana Now: August 4, 2025

Indiana Public Broadcasting's Brandon Smith reports the Braun administration has signed agreements with the federal government to do more to help federal authorities deport people.

Governor Mike Braun says Indiana cities may need to adopt local wheel taxes to offset funding losses.

Braun also says public broadcasting funding might return, but probably not until the next legislative session; public media stations warn they may not survive that long.
